Robert A. Utegg, 65, a resident of White Mills, died following an illness on Wednesday, April 13, at Community Medical Center in Scranton. He is survived by his wife, the former Georgette Marie Decker. Born in White Mills, he was the son of the late John and Elsie Eply Utegg. He was a school bus driver for Wallenpaupack Area School District. He had also been a driver for Fowler Oil for 22 years and had worked for Texas Township. He was a Texas Township Supervisor, former Chief of White Mills Fire Dept. , current President of White Mills Volunteer Ambulance Corp. and was a member of Hawley Ambulance Corp. He enjoyed fishing and his trips to Canada, as well as spending time at the farm in New York. He was also a member of White Mills United Methodist Church. He is survived by two sons: Tom of Philadelphia, NY, and Bryan and his wife Amy of Honesdale; three grandchildren: Brittany, Joshua and Alicia; two brothers: Harold of Narrowsburg, NY, and Harry of Hawley; a sister: Kathryn Coons of White Mills; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers: John, William, David and Richard; a niece: Joanie; and a nephew: William. Visitation will be held at White Mills United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 16, from 10-11 AM. The Funeral Service will be held at the church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Val Rommel officiating. Those attending the visitation and service are asked to park in the parking lot of the White Mills Fire Dept. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hawley Ambulance Corp., 219 River St., Hawley, PA 18428.
