Obituary of Vincent B Mougnos

Vincent B Mougnos, age 86, of Hawley died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at NEPA Hospice At Regional Hospital Of Scranton.
Mr. Mougnos was born February 23, 1925 in Hawley, PA and was the son of the late Desire H. and Mary (Duffy) Mougnos. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Richard & Eugene and three sisters, Mary, Florence & Rita.
Vincent served in the Army during World War II as a corporal with the 867th, Antiaircraft Automatic Weapons Battalion. Afterwards he was employed by PP&L as Head Surveyor, retiring in 1984. After retirement he did what he loved best, fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Lords Valley Sportsmen Club, a life member of the NRA, Ducks Unlimited, VFW Post 5823, The American Legion Post 311 and Knights of Columbus 3rd degree Council 797 in Hawley. Vince was a devout member of B.V.M. Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Wednesday, September 21, at 10:00 AM at B.V.M Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley followed by burial in the parish cemetery.
Memorials may be made to NEPA Hospice at Regional Hospital of Scranton, 746 Jefferson Ave.
