Frank J. Schooley, 95, of Blooming Grove, passed away at home on Feb 23, 2012. His wife of 56 years Marjorie White Schooley died in 1999. Born July 22, 1916, in Hanover Twp., he was the son of the late Frank J. and Mary B. Mooney Schooley. Frank was a graduate of Hanover Twp High School (W-B) and veteran of the CCC's, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Army Air Force. As an Army Air Force officer, he attended Davidson College, NC. After discharge from service, Frank was hired by Eastern Airlines as a Flight Engineer on Constellations and continued his aviation career with Air Ventures, Overseas National Airways and Air Jamaica until his retirement in 1978. Frank and Midge bought White's General Store in 1963 and moved the family from Pearl River, NY, to Blooming Grove; he later built a new store, the Mountain Merchant, which they sold in 1984. After retirement, Frank enjoyed golfing, shuffleboard, traveling and family. She is survived by Meg & Chip Janusewski of Paupack, PA; Robin & John LoDolce of Paupack, PA; and Lt. Col. Kim Schooley, USAF Retired, of Manassas, VA; and Frank X. Schooley of Blooming Grove, Pa.; grandchildren Lauren and Lee Janusewski and Jack and Rose LoDolce; and a brother Paul W. Schooley of Indianapolis, IN. Frank was preceded in death by a brother Robert and a sister Romaine Cooper. Calling hours will be Monday, February 27th, from 4 to 8 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 28th, at 10 AM at St. John Neumann Roman Catholic Church, 705 Route 739, Lords Valley, by Rev. Thomas Major, Pastor. Burial will be in Lords Valley Cemetery, Lords Valley. Memorials may be made to Blooming Grove Volunteer Fire Department, Route 739, Lords Valley, Pa 18428 or Hawley Public Library, 103 Main Ave. Hawley, Pa 18428.
