Spc Jeremy G. Keene, age 23, of Converse, TX died Sunday, February 26, 2012. Mr. Keene was born February 5, 1989 and was the son of Donald G. Keene and Ann Lynn (Clark) Bailey. He was a graduate of Wallenpaupack High School in 2008. Spc. Keene joined the Army National Guard after graduating. Spc. Keene graduated from basic training in Lawton OK. in 2009, he then went to Fort Sam Houston for his AIT training 68 Whiskey combat medic when he was diagnosed with cancer. Spc. Keene was battling cancer for 2 years. He loved his family very much. Spc. Keene touched the hearts of everyone around him. Our HERO Spc. Jeremy Keene will be missed deeply and never forgotten. R.I.P Jeremy Keene 2/5/89-2/26/12 He is survived by his loving and caring mother Ann Lynn Bailey, father Donald G. Keene, brother Bruce Gammon and his wife Monica, Kimberly Dale and her husband Robert, Jessi Mullins, Jason Keene, Teresa Santini and her husband David. 11 neices and nephews and not to mention many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Calling hours will be Friday, March 2nd , 2012 from 2 to 8 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 3rd at 10:00 AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Anyone attending the Mass is asked to go directly to the church. Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel followed by burial with full military honors in Green Gates Cemetery in Hawley.
