Obituary of Helen T. DiPasquale

Helen T. DiPasquale, age 82, of Hawley died Friday, March 2, 2012, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. Mrs. DiPasquale was born June 11, 1929, in Throop, PA, and was the daughter of the late Bill and Julia (Kemenski) Long. She was predeceased by her husband, Ambrose DiPasquale. She was a custodian for the Philadelphia School District and was a lifelong member VFW Post in Honesdale. Helen was known to people as the bionic woman; she liked to knit, enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with family, who where very important to her, especially her boys. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law: Donald and Linda DiPasquale and Gregory and Cynthia DiPasquale, all of Philadelphia, PA; daughter and son-in-law: Elona and Jay Compton of Hawley, PA; granddaughters: Colien and Hendershot and her husband Ron and Cristine DiPasquale; sisters: Emma Carusa, Lorraine Cesari, Gerri Waraney, and Jeanette Starbuck; brothers: Donald, Dennis, Billy and Gregory; and step great grandchildren: Megan and Amber Cozza. Calling hours will be Monday, March 5th, from 6 to 9 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Tuesday, March 6th at 10:00 AM at Central United Methodist Church, 205 11th St, Honesdale, with Rev. Robert J. Kazinski officiating. Burial will be in B.V.M. Queen Of Peace Cemetery, Hawley. The family would like to thank the Hawley Ambulance and memorials may be made to Hawley Ambulance & Rescue Co, 219 River St, Hawley, PA 18428.
