Too many to put on paper. You will always be a part of me and I love you more than anyone will ever know :). You made me want to strive to be like you with your kindness towards everyone and you are My Hero! I will never stop thinking about you and love you so much. I felt your hand grasp mine during your final minutes and I know that you are in a better place looking down from above. You're the best dad anyone could ever ask for. I miss you and love you.

I have a very vague memory of your family moving into the "Murphy" house. I couldn't have been very old..neither could you. We were just neighborly and school-friendly until later on in life when we started to "hang out" in some of the same circles. I also remember you introduced me to the first "African American" that I actually got to know personally. That didn't fly very well with some of the locals back then but you and I didn't care. It was ages since I saw you after I left town, Billy, but the last time we ran into each other it was like no time passed. Rest in peace, my friend, rest in peace.

Billy worked at our guest house next door last summer. He painted, did trim work, and made the place beautiful. He and my mother-in-law (Bette Jackson who passed away on March 12, 2012) would have lunch and watch The Young & The Restless! I hope they serve lunch in Heaven!
I will always remember him as not only a great craftsman, but a wonderful, kind-hearted friend. Peace to his family - and Doris and I will miss you Billy!

We would like to remind you that we all loved your dad and we will always remember the great times in our backyards drinking beer and listening to music. The good old days when life was easy. He may be gone but will not be forgotten and he has prepared you for the road ahead. Keep your head up grubestar and let your second family know if you need ANYTHING.

When I think back on our childhood days it seems Billy was always there like a part of our family. I think there were even times that I believed he was another brother who lived in a different home. I hope the entire Grube family finds comfort in knowing that Bill is soaring with the angels now, and he is totally at peace. He will be sadly missed by his many many friends.

Billy has been a family friend since as far back as i can remember. Growing up down the block, u could always count on him in passing to take a minute and bs about anything and everything you could think of to have a good laugh. Listening to stories of him and Uncle Bob over a PBR would always hit the spot. You will be missed, but only the good die young my friend. RIP

To the William A. Grube Family, My thoughts, prayers and condolences are with you at this time of your loss. I will always remember Bill as a good friend, going camping at Boy Scout Jambories, playing baseball, and growing up as classmates (1971) in Hawley. Although we had lost touch over the years, I always glanced his way as I drove past his house to and from my mother's. RIP My Friend.
