Obituary of Sally Knight

Sally Knight, age 78, of Greentown passed away peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2015 after a lengthy and courageous battle with multiple cancers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bob Knight, in 2006. Born January 22, 1937, in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Bernarda (Legio) Ciulla. A Greentown resident for 19 years, she was formerly of Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York. A devout Catholic, she was a member of St. Veronica's RC Church, Paupack, and a CCD teacher. She was mom, nana and friend to many. She loved to decorate her home. She also loved to cook and meatballs were her specialty. Her family thought of her as one of the strongest people they had ever known. She will be truly missed by family and friends. She is survived by two sons: Bobby and his wife Kay of Charlottesville, VA, and Keith and his fiancee Seo-Mi of North Bergen, NJ; one sister: Josephine; and four grandchildren: Robert J. III and his fiancee Genia, Taylor T., Carley D. and Kayla Lianne. She also welcomed into her family Tracy and Dave, Melissa and Aaron, Brittany and Thomas, Sydney, Caleb and Gabby, Noah and Cooper. A Graveside Committal Service will be held at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery, Afton, VA, at a future date to be announced. Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, East Central Division, PO Box 897, Hershey, PA 17033 or cancer.org.
