I remember how cool it was to get silly and to laugh with you back when we believed no one could ever tear us apart. All I can say is I pity the boy. I will always cherish the good times as I slowly let go of the pain other people delightfully caused. I <3 you to the moon and back.

Jet was a dear friend and I will miss her caring and nurturing nature. She loved animals and loved "life". My Sophia (my lab) looks for her every day, tail wagging! I am so glad she is not in pain anymore, but I am so sad for selfish reasons. I miss her daily phone calls and her presence in the apartment at the shop, bringing her delicious lunches and a diet coke. Gads-zooks she shoulda had stock in diet coke!!! I believe she cared about me as well - and that means the world to me. I drew so many similarities between her and my mother that it was uncanny, and we became immediate "partners in crime." She felt so too. I truly believe her presence will never stop being nearby, so I do not feel left behind - but I will feel alone down at my antique shop now. A very special, gifted, talented, generous, ethereal soul. We love and miss you Auntie Netters.

Thank you for posting the picture I took of my sister Jeannette with my dog, miss pig. It saddens me to see it and to know there was no reconciliation or forgiveness in the end. In all of the years I spent as a social worker in hospice, there was a particular type of family who allowed these things to happen. I shall say no more.
I hope that mom changed her stance since that hospice phone call and that she really did welcome Jet with those metaphorical open arms. I don't think souls/energy forces have arms but I do know that souls exist. My mother was barely conscious, as she lay dying. Mom spoke to my nana, her mother, who had come to take her to the other side. I saw this 100s of times at work so it was normal. I hope mom and dad came for you. It's a shame that our time on earth is so minuscule in the grand scheme of things and that we waste so much of it on anger, hostility and bitterness.
I love you Jeannette, way more than you ever knew, but anger always got in the way.
Corrine

So sorry for your loss. I knew Jeanette in the late sixties when I lived in Long Beach. Sometimes she stayed with us, We called her Foxy Mama cause she was one and a fantastic cook. We loved her very much!!! We all went to Woodstock together. I lost track of her when I moved to Oregon in 1972.I have been living on Maui for 30 years and would give almost everything to see her smile one more time and hear her laugh. She was quite an artist. Love to the Family.....
