Rita L. Wischerth, age 90, of Woodloch Springs, Hawley and formerly of Seaford, NY, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Mrs. Wischerth was born March 19, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Louise (Piazza) Maggiolo. She was predeceased by her husband, Neil on Feb 5, 2015.
Rita was a homemaker and was active with the Altar & Rosary Society and Altar Guild at St. William the Abbot Church in Seaford and the Seaford Garden Club and was a member of the golf and bowling leagues at Woodloch Springs in Hawley, PA.
She is survived by two sons & daughters-in-law: Lawrence & Joyce Wischerth of Wantagh, NY; Jeffrey & Margherita Wischerth of North Babylon, NY; 5 grandchildren, Christopher & wife, Danielle Wischerth; Lisa & huband, Jason DellaRatta; Lauren &husband, Matthew Privitera; Matthew Wischerth; Victoria Wischerth; 5 great grandchildren: Isabelle, Mia, Declan, Antonio & Viviana.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 16th at 9:30 at St. Francis DeChantal Roman Catholic Church, 1309 Wantagh Ave, Wantagh, NY. Calling hours will be Friday, May 15th from 6 to 9 PM at William Law Funeral Home, 1 Jerusalem Ave, Massapequa, NY.
Burial will be in Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury, NY.
