We extend our sympathy and feel fortunate to have known Brian for a brief time. He was a lovely man. He caught and then gave Tony his very first fish to clean in Florida! We are so sorry for your immense loss.

How can you put friendship into words. Brian was always here for all of us. Brian felt more like family than a friend. Dorothy, we are here for you and your family. He will always be in our prayers.
We love you, Brian.

I had the great opportunity to have Chief McCarthy as an instructor for my Basic Firefighter class at Montour Falls. I was just a kid in the 1994 Fall class, and I believe Chief McCarthy was a Captain at the time. Getting insight into the job at the beginning of my career from a man such as Chief McCarthy is something I have never forgotten.
God Bless Brian Joseph McCarthy and his family.
