Obituary of Lois Grissler

Lois Grissler, age 86, of Highland Fields, Hawley died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Edward F. Grissler, in 2013. Born February 2, 1929, in Hackensack, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Lillian DeYoung. She worked as a secretary in both her family businesses, United Checkstand Service and United Metal Products Corp. She was active in the family businesses right up to the end of her life. While at home, she loved feeding birds, chipmunks and deer. She and her husband Ed were members of Cricket Hill Golf Club for many years. Lois was a family person and was blessed enough in life to be loved by and proud of three generations of her family. She had a wonderful sense of humor and joy for life. She loved animals and made the very best potato salad. She is survived by one daughter: Diane Arigot and her husband John of Hawley, PA; one son: Robert Grissler of Hawley; her grandchildren: Jennifer Albion and her husband Brian, John E. Arigot and his fiancée Taylor Tedesco, and Amy Baker and her husband John; and two great grandchildren: Sam and Grace. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
