Dearest Family Meakem,
A warm thought to you all ... In this time of deep
sorrow.....a small ray of light from a distant soul....
Hoping that the darkness that visits, can be blinded by the beacon that is Your Dad, and to
You, the most wonderful Mrs. M, your loving hubby.
Sure, it will be easy to fall back, to be sad and all that...after all, he was Always there...larger than
life itself...the hurt is deep.
As I have taught myself, and have tried my best to do...shed that tear cause it's o.k. ...then laugh
And think what he would do or say...what he tried his best to teach...always know he is not far and even feel that odd push or that strange sound or feeling, which makes you ask, " Is that You?"
Of Course it is, he is always there. Peace

Our deepest sympathy to Aunt Joan and all my cousins for the loss of a one of a kind Uncle Don. If you knew him, you always had a smile and a sore belly from laughing and singing to his strumming of the ukulele. He always had a smile and a joke that would make you feel good. I have the best memories of many family times we had together. Uncle Don will never be forgotten and will always be near, in our hearts. We loved him dearly. May you rest in peace. God blessed us all with your presence on earth. With our love till we see you again, Susan & Raymond Berg

Our heart felt condolences to the Meakem family on the loss of my brother who was the most entertaining and comedic member of our loving family. His love of music and humorist personality will be missed by all who knew him. Keep them laughing brother Don and God bless.
