Susan Carol Casey, age 35, of Farmingville, NY, died unexpectedly Saturday, January 2, 2016, at home. Born September 2, 1980, in Salisbury, CT, she was the daughter of Carol L. (Bartgis) Hazen of Blooming Grove. She was a clerical worker in the healthcare industry. She was a gifted poet and writer. She is survived by her husband: Ryan English of Torrington, CT; her mother and stepfather: Carol and Joe Hazen of Blooming Grove; one daughter: Abigail Lynn Rosenkrans of Farmingville, NY; one son: Rory Joseph Casey of Farmingville, NY; a stepson: Ryan English Jr. of Torrington, CT; her maternal grandparents: Edward and Jane Erdmann of Blooming Grove; two brothers: James and Daniel Casey of Connecticut; one sister: Jennifer Casey of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday, January 7, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Friday, January 8, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. William Samford, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Hawley, officiating. Private cremation will follow at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel. Memorial donations may be made to Susan Carol Casey's Children's Benefit Fund, c/o The Dime Bank, Hawley.
