Frank Joseph Mancini, age 67, of Hawley died Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Marie "Jeanie" (Hayward) Mancini.
Born April 22, 1948, in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Jean (Taliercio) Mancini. Prior to his retirement in 2008, he worked as a wine salesman. Formerly of Queens, NY, he had been a Hawley resident for four years. He was a member of BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church and was an usher at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church while he lived in Queens. He coached baseball and basketball when his sons were growing up.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons: Frank Mancini and his wife Brenda of Phoenix, AZ, Justin H. Mancini and his wife Angela Kahres of Floral Park, NY, and Christopher Mancini of Kingston, NY; two grandsons: Dominick and Vincent Mancini of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters: Linda Murtha of Franklin Square, NY and Debbie Caponiti of Wantagh, NY; and two brothers: Dominic Randazzo of Franklin Square, NY and Sal Randazzo of Seaford, NY.
Calling hours will be Monday, January 25, from 3 to 7 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. There will be a Funeral Mass Tuesday, January 26, at 10:00 AM at BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, celebrated by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Private cremation will be held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
