Dear Edna and family, I am so sorry to hear about Joe. Edna, I'm not sure if you remember me, but I played the button box with Joe numerous times at the Slovenian Heritage club's picnic in Browndale. He was a wonderful musician, not to mention an all around great person who always had a smile on his face! I know Joe loved his music and he played from the heart. My father, Ray Femc and I were at the Oktoberfest in Honesdale on Sunday, and my dad mentioned that he hadn't seen Joe there for the last few years. He wasn't sure if anything happened to him, so I looked him up on the computer when I got home. That is why I am sending this 3 years later. We had no idea that he passed away. I just had to let you know how I felt about Joe. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know I will see Joe again someday, and then we can play our button boxes once again!

Joe was a gentle and kind man. We got to know Joe at our Sat. luncheons at the First Presbyterian church. He was part of the trio that played for those in attendance. He has been missed, and was saddened to hear of his passing. Our thoughts and prayer go out to his wife Edna and their family.

Joe Lindner - a man who loved his lord, family and his music. A sincere and deliberate musician. A teriffic and tireless entertainer who played for the love of it. Many fans were blessed to hear Joe's music. Having worked with him and Edna many times that always left a great impression with me. He loved what he did and shared it. He made others smile and enjoy life and always was respected by other musicians many of whom he shared the stage with. He will certainly will be missed. My best to Edna and the family.
Thanks for the good times and wonderful memories.

To the entire Lindner family,
We are very sorry for your loss. We send our heartfelt condolences. I will always be thankful for Joe's involvement in establishing the Sharp Delaney Hunting Club, which brings us all so much enjoyment, and the laughs we enjoyed during the last couple seasons that he still participated. I don't think I ever saw him when he wasn't smiling. Our prayers are with you all during this difficult time. God Bless.
