Obituary of Raymond Charles Masker

Raymond Charles Masker, age 92, of East Stroudsburg died Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Anna Mae (Warner) Masker.
Born November 8, 1923, in Tafton, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Ellen (Huff) Masker. He was a US Army Staff Sergeant during World War II. He worked as a lumberjack in his early years. He worked as a golf course superintendent at Panther Valley Golf Course in Allamuchy, NJ, until his retirement in 1988. In his free time, he loved to fish and tend his yard.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Edna Graham of Newton, NJ, and Patty Masker of Sussex, NJ; one son: Tom Masker of East Stroudsburg; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Barry Masker and a daughter, Anne Marie Taggart. He was also preceded in death by three sisters: Viola, Blanche and Emma; and eight brothers: Richard, Hillary, Friend, Sam, Everett, Leroy, Clifford and Carl. He was the last of his 12 siblings.
There will be a Graveside Service at 11 AM on Saturday, June 18, at Green Gates Cemetery, 1020 Hudson St, Hawley, with Rev. William Samford of First Presbyterian Church of Hawley officiating. Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
