Charles O. Nicholson, age 89, of Hawley and formerly of Bellefonte, PA died Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center in Honesdale. Mr. Nicholson was born August 27, 1927 in Morrisdale, PA and was the son of the late Oscar Charles and Anne (McGonigal) Nicholson. He was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen M. (Quick) Nicholson in 2011; two daughters, Alice F. Nicholson, Barbara Fisher and two sons, James C Nicholson, Donald R. Nicholson . Charles was a retired truck driver who liked fishing and loved being on the lake and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and trap shooting. He is survived by four daughters & sons-in-law: Grace & Gary Kohl of Mohnton, PA, Donna & Don Ditzler of Bellefonte, PA, Kathie & Brian Medford of Hazleton, PA and Pauline & Larry Davis of Coatesville, PA; six great grandchildren: Todd Tice, Stephen Tice, Kim Arnold, Jeremy Fisher; Michelle Schaud, Heather Smith and thirteen great grandchildren. Calling hours will be Saturday, November 26th from Noon to 2:30 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA, followed by a funeral service at 2:30 PM with Rev. Colleen E. Cox Pastor, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Morrisdale, PA.
