Obituary of Louise McGovern

Louise McGovern, age 87, a resident of Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale, died Thursday, January 5, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, John McGovern. Born October 2, 1929, in Napanee, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Earl Wikerson Gallagher and Maude (Huff) Gallagher. A resident of Bloomfield, NJ for many years, she retired from the service department of Bell Telephone after 28 years of employment. She is survived by two sons: Robert Donahue and his wife Shellie of Bloomfield, NJ, and Patrick Donahue and his wife Drucilla of Randolph, NJ; two grandchildren: Susan Brooks and Christopher Donahue; and one great granddaughter: Judith. Private cremation will be held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel. Memorial donations may be made to Tafton Fire & Rescue, PO Box 5, Tafton, PA 18464.
