Obituary of Jon A. Garlock

Jon A. Garlock, age 76, of Newfoundland died of natural causes on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Judith (Clark) Garlock, in 2000.

Born May 22, 1940, in Mason City, IA, he was the son of the late Jack and Alice Garlock.

3 passports indicated travel to many counties-most frequent to China, Thailand and Canada.  He maintained an apartment in Nanjing, China.

Jon worked for many years as an auditor for A.C. Nielsen Company, a marketing research company.  He retired as V.P. of Marketing from Airline Container Leasing, a company that provided pallets and containers to airlines worldwid.  Following retirement he opened Paupack Marina Inc on Lake Wallenpaupack.

He is survived by two sons: Jason Garlock of Cape Elizabeth, ME and Jordan Garlock of Scarborough, ME, and three grandchildren: Paige, Cole and Ty Garlock.

He was preceded in death by a sister Gail.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, May 17, from 2 to 4 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley. Inurnment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Paupack.
