Obituary of Katherine Davis

Katherine Davis, age 92, of Fawn Lake Forest, Hawley, died Thursday, September 14, 2017 at home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robie Davis, in 1976.

 

Born June 6, 1925 in Estill, SC, she was the daughter of the late Rebecca Lewis. Formerly of Brooklyn, NY, she was a member of Faith Christian Outreach Center, Lords Valley.  She was honored with the Community Service Award at United Greene Avenue Block Association in 1992 for her outstanding service and conduct.

 

Mrs. Davis is survived by two sons: Albert Lewis and his wife Gwendolyn of Brooklyn, NY, and Billy Lewis of Hawley; daughters-in-law:  Lydia Hawkins and Annette Tucker; her grandchildren:  Matthew, William, Thersha, Lavaysha, and Nicole Lewis; one sister: Dorothy Sims of Savannah, GA; a niece: Azziza Nadir; cousins: Michael and Cardelia Roberts; and extended family members: James Irvin Jr.;  Shanta, Akito and Rickeeta Tucker; and Samuel, Calvin, Lamell and Xavier Hawkins; Maryellen Kelly and Amy Martinchak; Jackie Tronosky; Toyona Hall; many, many great grandchildren; Pastors Michael and Jackie Stevenson; and a special thanks to Sister Arlene Adkins.

 

She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law:  Patricia Lewis.

 

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, September 24, at Faith Christian Outreach Center, 104 Red Shale Rd., Lords Valley, PA  18428.

 

Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
