Obituary of Robert Charles Treat
Robert Charles Treat, age 95, of White Mills died Friday, January 12, 2018 at home. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Geraldine (Bidwell) Treat.
Born March 8, 1922, in Uswick, PA, he was the son of the late Charles Bliss and Florence (Longmire) Treat. Robert was a World War II Army Air Force veteran. He worked many different jobs over the years but was perhaps best known as the owner and operator of Treat Appliance.
Robert was a member of Lakeville United Methodist Church, where he was very active over the years with church activities, the cemetery association and singing in the choir. He was also very proud of having been a 32nd Degree Mason.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Jeana Treat Palomino of Orlando, FL and Sheri May Strowbridge of Idaho Falls, ID; one sister: Jane Treat Cable of Honesdale; four grandchildren: Robert Nathan Palomino, Sheri Rene Marek, Mark Jensen, Jeana Lynn Hayes, Jonathan Jensen and Keri Jensen;three great grandchildren: Alysia Carges, Celeste Palomino and Nathan Robert Carges-Little; and three step-sons: Mark, John and Charles Miszler.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Stephen Treat.
Calling hours will be Monday, January 15, from 4:30 to 7 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Tuesday, January 16, at 1:00 PM at Lakeville United Methodist Church, 431 Purdytown Turnpike, Lakeville with Pastor Fred C. Snyder officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeville Cemetery in Spring 2018.
