Jacqueline "Jackie" W. Wolf, a loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away June 23, 2014, at Cleveland Clinic in Weston, FL.
Jackie was born in Minneapolis, MN, on June 30, 1939, to Merlyn and Dorothy Weltzin. While attending the University of Minnesota, she was introduced to her future husband by her brother, and within one hour both Jackie and Gary knew they had met the love of their life.
They were married December 17, 1960, while Gary was in law school. Jackie worked as the assistant to the Dean of Education to help Gary through law school. After his graduation, they sold everything and went to Europe for six months to travel and enrich their lives.
Jackie was offered a job at Wagner College, Staten Island, NY, and the couple returned to the States. She worked for the President of the University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Education. She then taught elementary school in Staten Island.
In 1970, Jackie and her family moved to Short Hills, NJ, where she raised her sons. She was a member of the town's Recreation Commission and actively supported her children's youth sports programs. Jackie was also an Essex County New Jersey Committee Woman. The family moved to New Vernon, NJ when the boys were in high school.
After Gary II and Jon graduated from college, and Gary retired in 2004, Jackie and Gary moved to Hobe Sound, FL, and split their time between there and the Poconos.
Jackie loved her children, their sports, and dogs. The light of her life was her grandchildren.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Gary W. Wolf; loving sons and their wives, Gary II and Marielle, and Jonathan and Jessica Wolf; cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Gary III, Deanna Jacqueline and Brophy; brother, Richard Weltzin; and sisters, Susan Quaas, Diane English and Patrice Abrahams.
