Obituary of Rosemarie A. Dazenski

Rosemarie (Rose) Dazenski, 89, of Lakeville, died May 16th, 2018.  Her final days were spent surrounded by family and those who loved her deeply.

Rosemarie was born November 17th, 1928 in New York City, to Vicenzina and Alessandro Avellino. Rosemarie married Frank Dazenski in1948, and they started their lives together in Elmont, NY.  Rosemarie and Frank later moved to Dix Hills, Long Island, where they raised their family and lived for over 40 years.  They loved to entertain family and friends at their house where many a great party was held.

 Rosemarie worked for the Suffolk County Police Department as a secretary for the 2nd Precinct Detective Squad for over twenty years.   She also was an independent stenotypist.   Rosemarie was a member of the Long Island Country Music Association and was a country line dance instructor with her husband.  In 2006, Frank and Rosemarie moved to Hawley, PA.

Rosemarie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 68 years and is survived by her children, Michael Dazenski (Bonnie); Victoria Hoffmann (Glenn); and Alec Dazenski; four grandchildren, Justin, Kevin, Ellyn, and Marc; and her six great-grandchildren, Brayden Justin, Ava Grace, Cora Amolia, Lilah Mae, Clara Rose, and Hannah Lorraine.

Rosemarie will be missed by all who knew her; but know that she rests in peace.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 22, from 1 to 4 PM at Teeters’ East Chapel, 505 Church St., Hawley, PA.  The funeral will follow at 4 PM at the funeral home.  Private cremation will be held at Lake Region Crematory.
