Robert Garcia, age 67, of Hawley died Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Suzanne Patricia (King) Garcia.
Born December 11, 1950, in Bronx, NY, he was the son of Phylis (Matos) Garcia of Poughkeepsie, NY and the late Frank Garcia.
Prior to his retirement, he had worked as an auto mechanic. He was a true "Mr. Fix-It" who still loved to tinker with cars after he retired. He also enjoyed baking and gardening. Formerly of Greentown, he had been a Hawley resident for 20 years.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one daughter: Christine Garcia of Honesdale; one son: Robbie Garcia of Connecticut; one stepdaughter: Laura Manfredonia of Poughkeepsie, NY; two sisters: Kathy Garcia of Poughkeepsie, NY, and Frances Garcia of Manchester, NH; one brother: Frank Garcia of New York; and five grandchildren.
Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
