Jean D Hegelein, age 93, a resident of Clarks Summit Senior Living, died Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at St. Mary's Nursing Home in Elmhurst.
Mrs. Hegelein was born January 7, 1925 in Chicago, IL and was the daughter of the late M. Leslie and Laura (Ward) Denning. She was predeceased by her husband, William Hegelein and a sister, Betty Tschop.
Jean attended Douglas College/Rutgers and was an elementary teacher in Bergenfield, NJ.
She was a member of Paupack United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and United Methodist Women's member. She was an avid reader, gardener and sewer. Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by two daughters: Nancy & her husband, Rick Cluggish of Highland Lakes, NJ and Beth Campfield of Honesdale, PA, two grandchildren, Laura & her husband, Justin Montanez; and Dr. Brian & his wife, Dr. Laurie Campfield; six great grandchildren: Jacob, Anna & Garrett Montanez; Ava, Owen & Lila Campfield.
Private funeral services will be held and private burial will be in the family plot in Pine Grove Cemetery in Paupack.
