Obituary of Nils Arthur Fichtner

Nils Arthur “Nick” Fichtner, age 49, of Rowland died Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale.  He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Wendy Lynn (Tellefsen) Fichtner.

Born August 13, 1968 in Smithtown, NY, Nick was the son of the late Torild (Refsland) Leahy and James Richard Leahy of Vandling, PA.  Nick worked as a commercial plumber and held a Master Plumber's license.  His life revolved around work, fishing and family.  He was always ready, willing and able to help his neighbors, friends and family.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by three brothers: Dennis Fichtner of Prompton, James David Leahy of Manhattan, NY, and Kenneth Anders Leahy of Lake Ariel; one daughter: Kristen Laki of Hawley; one granddaughter:  Kalea Johnson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.   A Memorial Service will be scheduled in the near future.
