Obituary of Mark Z Gumble

Mark Z. Gumble, age 65, of Hawley died Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale.

 

Mr. Gumble was born March 24, 1953 in Honesdale, PA and was the son of Zane A. and the late Jean Ruth (Laabs) Gumble.

 

He was a graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School Class of 1971 and of Williamsport Community College for automotive technology. Mark worked for Tanglwood Ski Area and for Gumble Brothers Lumber Company. In 1981 he married and moved to Dover, NJ and worked for Wickes Lumber in Roxburg, NJ and Kuiken Brothers Lumber in Wantage, NJ before retiring in 2015.

 

He was an avid collector of model cars and trains and was a fan of the NY Giants. Mark had a love for photography and took photos for the USFL at Giant Stadium for the last two years of the league's existence.

 

He is survived by his wife of 37 years: Sheryl A. (Schaepe) Gumble; one daughter and son-in-law: Patricia and Raymond Ubaldi of Olyphant, PA; one son: Jonathan Gumble of Hawley, PA; his father: Zane A. Gumble of Paupack; one sister: Julie Dearring of Virginia; two brothers: Greg Gumble of Hawley and Douglas Gumble of Paupack; and one grandson, Alexander Micah Ubaldi.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, July 30th, from 4 to 7 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley.

 

Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel, PA.

 

The family would like to thank Wayne Memorial Oncology Department, Wayne Memorial Hospice and staff for Mark's care.
