Obituary of Dorothy M. Singer

Dorothy M. Singer, age 90, of Hawley and formerly of Lake Ariel, died Sunday, August 5, 2018 at home.

 

Mrs. Singer was born February 28, 1928 in Scranton, PA and was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Ella (Lennon) Glossenger. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles J. Singer in 1995, a grandson, Daniel Singer and a sister, Marie Finan.

 

Dorothy was the former co-owner of Otter Springs development and Wallenpaupack Mobile Home Park. She was a founding member of the Tafton Fire Co. Auxillary and a former Sunday School teacher at Queen of Peace.

 

 

She is survived by two sons: Charles K. "Chuck" Singer of Hawley, PA and Dale L. Singer of Hawley, PA, six grandchildren: Lisa, James, Brian, Jake, Justin, David Singer; and two great grandchildren; two sisters: Marilyn Wormuth of Arlington, Wayne Co., PA and Sandra Aleckna of Arlington, Wayne Co., PA, and three brothers: Kenneth Glossenger of FL, Donald Glossenger of Mt Cobb, PA and Glenn Glossenger of Arlington, Wayne Co., PA; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

 

Burial will be in B.V.M. Queen Of Peace Cemetery, Hawley.
