Obituary of Kyle Douglas Ackerson

Kyle Douglas Ackerson, age 34, of Woodledge Village, Hawley died Sunday, September 16, 2018 at home.

 

Born September 28, 1983, in Honesdale, he was the son of Pete Douglas Ackerson of Bokeelia, FL and Laurie (Stites) Hurd of Idaho. He was a graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School, Class of 2001. Kyle worked as a heavy equipment operator for Anixter Electric Co.

 

Kyle loved spending time with his children, teaching them to fish, play soccer, swim and hike.

 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter: Harper Ackerson; his son: Mason Ackerson; his fiancée: Maegan Herington of Hawley; one brother: Kevin Ackerson and his wife Autumn of Orlando, FL; two nephews: Dylan and Wyatt Ackerson; an aunt; an uncle; and numerous cousins.

 

Calling hours will be Saturday, September 22, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Daryl Buckingham of New Hope Pentecostal Church officiating.

 

Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel, PA.
