Clifford C Adams, 75, was taken into the Holy Land on Friday, October 12, 2018 at home in Hawley, Pennsylvania surrounded by his family. Cliff was the fourth born of six sons to Morris 'Moot' W. Sr. and Myrtle L. (Blanchard) Adams on November 30, 1942 in Phillipsburg New Jersey. Cliff is survived by his wife Elizabeth of Hawley, his children Michael Scott (Nitzeida) Adams of Fort Belvoir Virginia, Michelle Adams of Florida, Jessica (Brian) Toth-Gerth of St Louis Missouri, Cliff M. Adams of Pennsylvania, his six grandchildren, his brothers Ronald & Terry Adams of Phillipsburg New Jersey and Larry & Patricia Adams of Broadway New Jersey; scores of friends, family, fishing buddies, and fellow prospectors. Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Morris Jr 'Sunny', Harvey, and Richard. Clifford grew up in Broadway and graduated Washington High School in 1961. While growing up in New Jersey he spent his time at the Villa Roller Rink, playing pool, shooting darts and volunteering at the Franklin Township Fire & Rescue Squad. After moving to Lake Wallenpaupack in 1986, Cliff continued his enjoyment of bowling, fishing, yard sale-ing, card games and Cribbage. Upon retirement from Warren Controls in 2011 after 50 years, Cliff and Liz were able to enjoy more time camping and prospecting with the Conewago Creek Chapter of the Gold Prospectors and the PA Prospectors. A true American, he was incredibly humbled and proud of his son Michael and brother Ron, for their service to our country in the United States Marine Corps. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Cliff to either to Hawley Ambulance, at 219 River Street Hawley PA 18428; Franklin Township Fire-EMS Division, 25 Asbury Broadway Road Broadway NJ 08808, your local VFW or USO.
