I am no longer that young boy that looked up to Steve for all my mechanical interests. I am now a 38 year old father of two who basically owes Steve for everything I had in my childhood. He never tried to assume the role as my father but he was a great role model for me in his work ethics. All though I had not seen him in many years he would still cross my mine occasionally. He will be missed. R.I.P

I was a friend of Steve "Wammo" in the Air Force. We went to his moms place in 1980 and I saw the honeymoon resorts. I used to kid Wammo that when I'd get married I would go to Cove Haven. Well in 85 I did but could only afford 2 nights. I drove down to Dover to see him and another military buddy. I told them both if be back in 30 years. Well I went back for my 30th wedding anniversary October 12. I tried finding Steve "Wammo" but read he passed away just last year. I'm so sorry for yalls lost. I wish we could of kept better tract of each other but I was from Arizona and moved to Texas in 83 so the miles kept ur apart. We were best friends for a while when we were young. I did try going by his sisters house and a brother that the Internet says they live in Hawley. I was wanting to pay me respect to Steve at his grave site. I'm not sure if his mom remembers me cuz that was so long ago. I had red hair and drove a little hot rod car that me and Steve would cruise around in back in 80-81.
