Barbara Forcheskie, age 79, a resident of Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center, Lake Ariel, died Saturday, November 10, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Forcheskie.

Born December 29, 1938, in Yonkers, NY, she was the daughter of the late John W. and the late Bernice A. (Trypuc) Pierz. Although she had worked as a mortgage counselor, her primary focus was being a homemaker. Formerly of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, she moved to Greentown, PA about 28 years ago.

Barbara was a member of St. Veronica's RC Church, Paupack, PA. She enjoyed golfing and watercoloring. Barbara adored her family and loved boating with them.

She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth A. Strudler and her husband Paul of Fishkill, NY; her son: Charles J. Koncewicz and his wife Debbie of the United Kingdom; four grandchildren: Alexa, Pierce, James and Ashlie; and her late husband Carl's children: Carl Forcheski Jr. and his wife Joan, Gail Melillo and her husband Lawrence, Caroline Forcheskie Lupo and Karen Dinunzio and her husband Robert; Carl's grandchildren: Katharine Venuti and her husband Ross, Sarah Forcheski, Brad Melillo and wife Kate, Lauren Boninfante and her husband Joseph, Andrew Melillo and his wife Katie, Christopher Lupo and his wife Courtney, Michael Lupo and his wife Anna, and Emily and Amanda Dinunzio; and Carl's great grandchildren: Anna and Isabella Melillo, Christopher, Carter and Colton Lupo, and Elias and Julian Lupo.

 

She was also preceded in death by her brother, John Walter Pierz Jr.

 

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Pine Grove Cemetery, Paupack, PA.
