Eileen D Martinell, age 68, of Lake Wenonah, Tafton died Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Hospice Of The Sacred Heart in Dunmore. Mrs. Martinell was born November 28, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Dorothy (Hartinger) Tart. She was a teacher assistant for Munsey Park School in Manhasset, NY. Eileen was the National Secretary for American Family Life and was active in the March for Life. She loved animal and supported the ASPCA and Humane Society and adored spending time with her dogs at The Villages in FL. She enjoyed oil and watercolor painting. She is survived by her husband: Kevin F Martinell and two sons: Kevin J Martinell of Scranton, PA and Shaun J Martinell of Scranton, PA; three sisters & brothers-in-law, Dorothy & Robert Stiles of Philadelphia, PA; Norma & Dennis Whitley of Goodyear, AZ; Mary & Jeffrey Goldberg of Floral Park, LI, NY; three nieces, Lisa Kelly, Melanie Browning, Alison Goldberg; four nephews, Neil Kelly, Donald Whitley, Mark Goldberg, James Goldberg. Calling hours will be Friday, June 28th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 29th at 10 am at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Burial will be in B.V.M. Queen Of Peace Cemetery in Hawley. Memorials may be made to Dessin Animal Shelter, 138 Miller Rd., Honesdale, PA 18431
