Obituary of Robert Thomas Gregor

Robert Thomas Gregor, age 93, of Paupack died Friday, August 2, 2019 at Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center in Lake Ariel.

Mr. Gregor was born August 25, 1925 in Honesdale, PA and was the son of the late Joseph and Nellie (Simmons) Gregor. In addition to his parents he was preceded by a son, Robert J., and a brother, Joseph.

He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the Army Signal Corps. He later earned is pilot's license through the GI Bill.

Bob was an avid outdoorsman and was a beer line clear and owned a lawn care and snow plow business for years. Prior to that he ran timber to Scranton and hauled back coal.

Mr. Gregor was a member of St. Veronica's RC Church, Paupack, where he was also a member of the choir. He also served as past president of the Hawley Lions Club. He loved doing jigsaw puzzles and was a loyal Yankees fan.

He is survived by his wife: Sylvia (Gumble) Gregor and one son: Dan & his wife, Cindie Gregor of Scotrun, PA; five grandchildren, Jessica & Doug Dailey of Stroudsburg, PA; Jaclyn Gregor of Scotrun, PA; Justin Gregor of Scotrun, PA; Kassie Gregor of Stanstonburg, NC; Joseph & Nina Gregor of San Diego, CA; four great grandchildren: Shea, Coel, Jaelyani and Gracelyn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 16th at 10 am at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor.

 

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Paupack.

 

Memorials may be made to In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
