Obituary of Kathleen M. Bader

Kathleen M. Bader, age 69, of Tink Wig, Hawley, died Friday, January 10, 2020 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard W. Bader, in 2018. Born September 5, 1950, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Edna J. (Ryan) Connolly. Formerly of Brooklyn and Staten Island, she was a stock analyst prior to her retirement in 2008. Mrs. Bader was a member of BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church and the Tink Wig Prayer Group. She is survived by two sisters: Janet Quinn of Brooklyn, NY and Gail Barnes of Hawley; her nieces and nephews: Laurie Soriano, Erich and Edward Obojkovits, Stacey Smith, William Barnes, Courtney Barnes, Amanda Sickler and Walter Barnes; and 15 great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Al Gwertzman; a brother, Edward Connolly; and two sisters, Margaret Connolly and Carol Obojkovits. Calling hours will be Sunday, January 12, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM, and Monday, January 13, from 11 AM to Noon at Teeters' Funeral Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Monday, January 13, at 12:30 PM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Msgr. Joseph P. Kelly. Burial will be in Green Gates Cemetery, Hawley, following the Mass.
