Obituary of Denise C. Miller

Denise C. Miller, age 87, of Belle Reve Senior Living Center, Milford, died Monday, January 13, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Miller, in December 2009. Born September 5, 1932, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Augustine (Spearson) Tremblay. Formerly a resident of Queens, NY, she worked as an NYPD crossing guard for over 30 years and was well-known to generations of children in her neighborhood. She moved to Pennsylvania following her retirement in 2005. She is survived by five sons: Daniel Miller of Fairlawn, NJ, Richard Miller of Holbrook, LI, NY, Dennis Miller of Fawn Lake Forest, Hawley, PA, George Miller of Goshen, NY and John Miller of Hewitt, NJ; 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Andrew. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 1 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM prior to the Memorial Service at the funeral home. Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
