His professional career spanned 38 years at IBM. After retirement, he worked as a concierge at the Stony Hill Inn in Bethel, CT. He also actively volunteered at the Pike County Agency Area on Aging, and Tobyhanna Retirement Services, PA. He was a faithful Catholic and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus of Honesdale, PA, Assembly No. 927, and a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus of Honesdale, PA, Council No. 363. Joseph was also a member of the Wilson-Kelch Post 311, American Legion in Hawley, PA.
