Joseph R. Mulvey, Jr., age 76, of Baldwinsville, NY, died Saturday, March 7, 2020 at home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Marcella M. (Farrell) Mulvey, in 2016. Born January 13, 1944, in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph R. and Marion E. (Lang) Mulvey Sr. A US Navy veteran, he worked as a welder and mechanic for Queens Surface Corp. in Queens, NY, until his retirement in 2004. Formerly of Long Island, NY and Hawley, he had been a Baldwinsville resident for two years. He was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Colon-Msgr. Higgins Council #309 of Long Island City, NY. He was retired as a Welder Mechanic from Queens Surface Corp., Queens, NY in 2004. Joseph loved to cook and was an avid fan of the Mets and the Jets. He is survived by two daughters: Gina Balla and her husband Rodney of Clay, NY, and Lori Mulvey and her fiancé Raymond Kresge of Hawley; one son: J.J. Mulvey and his wife Michelle of Bellrose, NY; three brothers: Richard and his wife Martha of Colts Neck, NJ, Donald and his wife Deb of Toms River, NJ and Dennis and his wife Arlene of Middletown, NY; two grandsons: Lorenzo Tesoriero and his fiancée Amanda Kulpa of Brewerton, NY, and Vincent Tesoriero and his fiancée Brittany Colwell of Clay, NY; three great grandchildren: Adriana, Antonio and Santino Tesoriero; and his beloved buddy: Blaze. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Mulvey. Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 11, from 2 to 6 PM at Teeters' Funeral Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Thursday, March 12, at 10:00 AM at BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Burial will follow in Green Gates Cemetery, Hawley.
