Charles Marvin Mitchell III, age 81, of Masthope, Lackawaxen, died Monday, March 16, 2020 at Achieve Rehab and Nursing Home in Liberty, NY. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline M. (Zenguard) Mitchell.
Born June 26, 1928, in Florence, AL, Charlie was the son of the late Pearl (Hackett) Mitchell and Charles Marvin Mitchell, Jr. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a conductor for the Long Island Railroad prior to his retirement. Charles liked to dance and was an avid pool player, he also loved to blow leaves and remove snow.
In addition to his wife,he is survived by two daughters: Deborah Mitchell Conner of Centereach, NY and Michelle Mitchell of Lackawaxen; two sons: Kenneth Mitchell of Williston Park, NY and Jeffrey Mitchell, Sr. of Lackawaxen, PA; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel, PA.
