Geraldine (Bidwell) Miszler Treat, age 93, of White Mills died Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale after a short illness Born March 16, 1927, Geraldine was the youngest daughter of late Homer and Anna (Miller) Bidwell. As a high school girl, she wrote letters to wounded Wayne County GI's, which lead to meeting her first love, Francis E. Miszler, a Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient. They were married shortly after Francis, who was known as Bucky recovered from his wounds. They raised three sons, Charles, John and Mark, before Bucky passed away from lung cancer in 1975. In 1985 she married her second love also a WW II veteran, Robert Treat. They had a wonderful thirty-three years together traveling and spending winters in Florida until Robert passed away in 2018. She was also predeceased by her sister Geogiana and her husband, Frederic Anderson and sister Wanda and husband, Crawford Sacse. She is survived by three sons: Mark Miszler, Charles and his wife, Betsy Miszler and John and his wife, Alana Miszler, two grandsons, Jason & Charlie; one great granddaughter, Hanna and several nieces and nephews. Because of the current pandemic, services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made in Geraldine's name to American Cancer Society, Wayne Unit, 712 S.
