Peggy and I were in the same graduating class at St. Vincent Ferrer HS in New York City - Class of 1967. We were a class of less than 90 girls so we all knew one another quite well. Peggy was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
Luckily, a SVF Reunion was held last April and many of us were able to reconnect after more than 40 years. Peggy was still the same sweetheart I remembered.
May your wonderful memories of Peggy provide comfort.

harder. She was a great teacher and greater friend! I will miss her contagious spirit and hearty laugh! Thanks for over 30 years of friendship. Love you Girlfriend!! RIP

With a five year gap in our ages, I knew Peggy mostly just in passing when we were kids together on 64th Street, but, I do remember her being a pretty young girl, with big, blue eyes, who was maybe just a little on the shy side. Judging from her photo here, she grew up to be a very attractive woman, with those big blue eyes, and she went on from our childhood years on 64th Street to get a fine education in pursuit of a very worthy career as a teacher. I'm sure you guys are very proud of her, as well you should be.
Peggy, Bob and Eileen, and the rest of the Gallagher family are in our thoughts and prayers. May Peggy's memory be eternal....
With Deepest Sympathy,
Jim Nestor

Peggy was a bridesmaid in our wedding party in 1970. She was a lovely young woman who had the best laugh, and kindest and gentlest ways. We lost touch years ago, but we never thought about dear Peggy without a smile coming to our faces. May she rest in peace.

Peggy and I taught together at Corpus Christi in Woodside. There was always a smile on her face and her laugh was infectious. May she rest in peace. I will always remember her.

Thank you to all those who have offered kind words about my sister Peggy. I will always feel that she never recovered completely from the death of her husband Rich. Even though she was only 50 at the time of his death, they had been married 27 years, and theirs was a true storybook romance. She will be missed tremendously, not least by our two daughters, who adored their Aunt Peggy. May she rest in peace alongside her beloved husband.
