Obituary of Kristine Anne Updegrove

Kristine Anne Updegrove, age 68, of Greentown died Monday, July 27, 2020 at Geisinger-Community Medical Center, Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Lynn R. Updegrove, in 2006, and her daughter, Desiree Olsen, in 2018. Born April 3, 1952, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Eleanor Anna (Ellefsen) Erickson. After spending many childhood summers in the Poconos, she moved with her family to live there full-time. She and her husband Lynn raised their family in Greentown and opened their own restaurant, Kris and Lynn's Fireplace in Tafton on 1987. She is survived by her son, Matthew; daughter-in-law, Lauren; and two granddaughters, Mckenzie and Norah. She is also survived by Tyffannee Walker, Aryselas and Eric Grant, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
