Sally B. Leichte was taken by angels to join our Lord on August 18, 2020 in her home in Greentown, Pa. where she lived with her daughter Diane. She was proceeded in death by her husband Robert Gustav Leichte.
Sally was born in Wilkes Barre, Pa. to Alexander & Josephine Baluta on June 10, 1927.
She and her husband Robert raised their 2 children in Manville, NJ. Together they built their summer home in the 1960's at Lake Wallenpaupack, where they enjoyed many wonderful summers with family. She retired there in 1985.
She leaves behind a son and spouse Robert and Joanne Leichte, daughter Diane Leichte; three Grandchildren David Moore and Kait, Christine Leichte, Robert & spouse Rachel Leichte, 2 great grandchildren Vivian and Rosie and brother Leonard Baluta.
Sally was a devout Catholic. She was an active member of the Altar Rosary Society at Christ the King Church in Manville, NJ. She shared her gifts with the "Ugly Quilters" group making quilts for the homeless for over 30 years at Queen of Peace Parish. She was an avid reader and loved to play scrabble.
