Luba graduated from St. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Elementary School in Jersey City, and St. Aloysius Academy in Jersey City. She received a BA from Jersey City State College and a Master's Degree from Farleigh Dickinson in Madison, NJ. She spent the majority of her career working for AT&T and later with IBM, retiring from her position as a manager in the field of Information Technology.
