Obituary of Jane E DeMars

Jane deMars was received into the loving the arms of God on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, surrounded by her family. Jane grew up in Chatham, NJ. She graduated from Chatham High School and went on to receive her nursing degree from Ann May School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1951. She married her husband, Roger deMars, on June 21, 1952. Early on in her career she worked in Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ and the latter part of her career was dedicated to geriatric nursing. Jane was active in Eastern Star, The First Presbyterian Church of Hanover, NJ, and the First Presbyterian Church of Hawley, after they moved to Pennsylvania. She served as Elder and Deacon of the churches, and also established the Health Ministries at the First Presbyterian Church of Hawley. Jane was involved in the internal and charitable ministries of the church. Jane is survived by her loving husband Roger, of sixty-two years; her daughters Nancy deMars Coldreck and Shirley deMars Fee and her husband John Fee; her grandchildren Amy Coldreck, Cassie Howlett and her husband Charlie Howlett and Joshua Batista. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church of Hawley.
