Obituary of George Andrew Kraft

George Andrew Kraft, age 87, of Tafton died Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Forest City Nursing Home. Mr. Kraft was born September 21, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY and was the son of the late George Edward and Ellen Gladys (Smiley) Kraft. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan (Morris) Kraft in 2014. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was an operating engineer for International Union Of Operating Engineers, Local #14, in New York. Mr. Kraft was a member of Catholic War Veterans. He was also formerly a volunteer for Tafton Fire Co. He is survived by two sisters: Barbara Ellen Ritola of Honesdale, PA and Virginia Ann Brestlin of Staten Island, NY, four nieces and one great niece. Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel. A Memorial Service will be planned for Spring 2021.
