Obituary of Robert Thomas Kelly

Robert Thomas Kelly, age 66, of Woodledge Meadows, Hawley, died peacefully at home on Friday, January 1, 2021. Born September 16, 1954, in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late John Edward Kelly Jr. and the late Mary (Corrigan) Kelly. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a machine repairman for the Essex County NJ Election Bureau. Robert was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church in S. Orange, NJ and an avid NY Yankees fan. He is survived by one daughter: Jamie Kelly of New Jersey; a grandson: Aidan Kelly; sister-in-law: Linda Kelly of Punta Gorda, FL; his siblings: Bernard Kelly and his wife Joan of Medford, NJ, John Kelly and his wife Regina of Punta Gorda, FL, Patrick Kelly and his wife Leslie of Conway, SC, Mary Panella and her husband Michael of Brick, NJ, Martin Kelly and his wife Maureen of Stewartsville, NJ, Kevin Kelly and his wife Maureen of Hawley, and Colleen Kelly of Brick, NJ; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Kelly, and a sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Michael Scanlon. Calling hours will be Monday, January 11, from 3 to 7 PM at Teeters' Funeral Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, January 12, at 10:00 AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, celebrated by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Due to Pennsylvania restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic face masks and social distancing must be strictly adhered to both at Teeters' for visitation and BVM Queen of Peace for the Mass. Maximum occupancy at Teeters' is limited to 25 people at any time. Private cremation will follow at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel. His urn will be interred in B.V.M.
