Please share a memory of Rose to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Rose Corcoran Winkler, 86 of Hawley, passed away on April 19th, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was surrounded by her six children and several grandchildren.
Rose was married for 55 years to her beloved high school sweetheart Otto R. Winkler, who passed away in 2011.
Born in Hawley in 1934, Rose was the daughter of Kathryn Schipano Corcoran. She was a graduate of Hawley High School, Class of 1952 and was a faithful member of BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church.

Best known for her culinary skills in her kitchen and most famous for her homemade pies, doughnuts, cinnamon buns and chocolate chip cookies, Rose brought delight to her family and every child in the “Snufftown” neighborhood.
Rose was an avid Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan fan during the late 90’s Bulls run. She loved a great casino trip, a Mets game, and spending time with her family and friends. During her later years, Rose enjoyed traveling with her husband to Nashville, Branson, Graceland and several National Parks out west.
Surviving are Rose’s six children: Gina Neenan and husband Dennis, Laurie Granville, Richard Winkler and companion Tina Augello, Kathleen Strasser and husband Gary, Robin Scartelli and husband Ralph, and Robert Winkler; grandchildren: Lauren and Ryan Neenan, Daniel and Amanda Granville, Cody and Zachary Strasser, Rocco and Olivia Scartelli, Emily, Alex, Jordan, Jonathan and Jasmine Winkler; and seven great-grandchildren.
