Obituary of Mary M. Mohr

Mary M. Mohr, age 76, of Lake Ariel died peacefully at home on Thursday, June 3, 2021. She is survived by her husband, Barry Joseph Mohr. They were married for 42 years. Born May 31, 1945, in West Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Kennedy) Peterson. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Connecticut State University and received her Master’s Degree as well. She was an elementary school teacher for the New Hope-Solebury School District until her retirement in 2004. A former resident of New Hope, PA, Mary and her husband had a vacation home on Lake Wallenpaupack until they moved there full-time following her retirement. Mary was a member of BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Hawley. Mary loved spending time with her husband at the lake and being an active and hands-on grandmother to her ten grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children: David Mohr and his wife Linda of Doylestown, Mark Mohr and his wife Tamara of Churchville, PA, and Cheryl Sasala and her husband Kevin of Lake Ariel; and her grandchildren: Taylor, Logan and Halle Mohr, Mackenzie, Jake and Madison Mohr, and Hunter, Austin, Aiden and Carter Sasala.
