John Victor Hanf, 76, passed away July 10, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospice. The son of the late Paul and Gladys Hanf, of Hawley, he was a lifelong resident of Hawley and Honesdale. John graduated from Hawley High School in 1963. He is survived by brothers: Bob (Elvera) Hanf of Hawley and Richard (Patricia) Hanf of Marietta, OH; and sisters: Elizabeth (Sean) Smith of Tyler Hill and Vera (Graham) Byng of Port Orchard, WA. John loved fishing and brought a smile and kindness to everyone he met.
The family would like to thank the Wayne Memorial Hospice team for their compassion and care.
Family graveside services and internment will be held at Green Gates Cemetery at a later date.
